Eiffelist 5,5 km

Kirik asub linna kõrgeimas paigas Montmartre'il ja paistab juba kaugelt üle Pariisi. Kirik valmis 1914 ja on pühendatud Jeesuse südamele (Sacré-Cœur otsetõlkes prantsuse keelest "Püha Süda"). Alates 1885, see tähendab, et juba tükk aega enne valmimist, on kirikus lakkamatult olnud välja pandud armulaud altari kohal. Sellepärast palutakse turistidel ja kõigil teistel külastajatel kirikus sündsalt riietuda ja võimalikult vaikselt olla, et mitte häirida palvetajaid. Kirikus on mosaiigid ja reljeefid. Kiriku kellatorn on 83 m kõrge. Alates 1895 on selles üks maailma raskeimaid töötavaid kirikukelli, mis kaalub 18,5 tonni. Kiriku juurde saab sõita metrooga. Kirikust pisut loodes asub peatus Montmartre'i muuseum (Muse de Montmartre) ja läänes peatus Salvador Dali väljak (Espace Salvador Dali). Kirikut ennast ümbritseb põhjast Chevalier de la Barre'i tänav, idast Lamarcki tänav ja läänest Mont Cenis' tänav.

Due to its location on the Montmartre hill, the basilica towers over the city; its highest point is even higher than the top of the Eiffel Tower.

20. You don't have to pay for  the view - while nice and unarguably famous, catching the view from the Eifel tower is expensive and not the best in Paris. Much lower and not less nice, are the views from the basilica at Sacre Coeur.

Perched on the top of Montmartre hill with incredible views of Paris from both the 423 foot high dome and the steps in front of the basilica. The surrounding neighborhood features a collection of charming streets, shops, and restaurants. It’s easy to spend an entire afternoon exploring the area. There’s a funicular tram to take you up to the Sacre Coeur if the steps are too much.
